A rise in intellectual property (IP) disputes over the last couple years is the result of companies actively protecting their competitive advantage and their investments in research and development. This is especially relevant with technology companies that generate substantial profits from their portfolios of IP. With this increased demand comes an increase in damage calculations relating to IP-related disputes. The objective of this presentation is to discuss damage remedies available to IP owners and recent case law regarding patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret damages.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Explain remedies available for IP owners
  • Demonstrate the changing landscape for IP litigation
  • Translate recent case law related to IP and what that means for the future
