NATIONAL OFFICE – BKD CEO Ted Dickman is pleased to announce that Rylander, Clay & Opitz, LLP (RCO) will join the firm effective June 1, 2018.
“We want to extend a warm welcome to our new BKD team members,” Dickman said. “RCO’s commitment to their ‘Five Star’ client service model aligns perfectly with our standard of unmatched client service, and their True Expertise will help us achieve our goals as we move forward.”
RCO—a Fort Worth-based firm offering a variety of accounting and consulting services for clients across a broad range of industries—will join BKD’s approximately 2,650 personnel and 280 partners.
“With the addition of RCO, BKD will fulfill our strategic vision of having a presence in Fort Worth, the 16th largest city in the U.S.,” said Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco Managing Partner Tom Watson. “The combination capitalizes on RCO’s deep roots in the Fort Worth market and BKD’s wide range of audit and advisory services that RCO’s clients can now access.”
RCO will grow the overall capabilities of BKD’s South Region and its existing offices in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Waco. Staff will stay at their current location on 3200 Riverfront Drive in Fort Worth, and the office will be led by RCO’s current managing partner, Rob Opitz.
“This is certainly a win-win situation for all involved,” says Opitz. “We’re happy to be joining BKD and are excited to bring enhanced career opportunities for our professionals and greater access to services for our clients.”
BKD now has 37 offices in 16 states, and fiscal year 2018 revenues were approximately $600 million. The firm provides a wide range of assurance, tax and accounting outsourcing services. It also serves clients around the world as one of the largest U.S. members of Praxity, AISBL, a global alliance of independent firms that serves the dynamic needs of multinational clients.
