BKD selects Matt Stout to lead Fort Wayne, Pittsburgh offices
FORT WAYNE, IND. – BKD CPAs & Advisors has announced Matt Stout as the next managing partner of its Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Pittsburgh offices. Stout will assume the role effective June 1, 2022. He succeeds Wally Wetherill, who will retire at the end of May 2022.
“I am looking forward to taking on the role of MP in both Fort Wayne and Pittsburgh.” said Stout. “Each office has unique opportunities to serve clients moving forward, so working together as one group is going to be critically important in driving future success.”
A member of BKD National Financial Services Group, Stout has more than 19 years of experience working with publicly and closely held financial institutions ranging in size from $40 million to $15 billion in total assets, and has played an integral role in growing the firm’s financial services practice throughout the firm’s seven-state East Region. Stout is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Indiana CPA Society. He previously served as president of the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana and volunteers with several Fort Wayne community organizations.

Stout is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s College, in Rensselaer, Indiana, with a B.S. degree in accounting. He also is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.
