BKD Recognized by AAM for Community Involvement & Marketing Efforts
NATIONAL OFFICE – BKD CPAs & Advisors received two Marketing Achievement Awards (MAA) at the Association for Accounting Marketing’s (AAM) virtual summit on June 3. BKD has received at least one MAA for five consecutive years.
The MAAs recognize outstanding achievements in marketing for accounting firms. This year, AAM also added a category for social corporate responsibility, We AAM to Serve, as part of the MAAs. A panel of judges reviewed more than 70 entries, with 23 awards given in nine categories. BKD received awards in the Collateral and Content Marketing and We AAM to Serve categories.
“I'm incredibly proud that our firm was recognized by AAM for our charitable efforts. BKD is committed to enriching our communities, and we were honored to be able to share our charitable efforts over the past year. I am also humbled that our marketing team was honored as well. This is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of those in our department,” said Greg Cole, BKD’s chief marketing officer.
BKD won an MAA for Collateral and Content Marketing with its “2020 Annual Higher Education Outlook: The Race to Financial Sustainability.” The annual outlook is a long-form marketing document designed to educate and promote BKD’s higher education consulting arm. The outlook serves as a platform to help provide relevant, useful and effective information and data to assist colleges and universities.
The firm also won an MAA in the We AAM to Serve category—which recognizes corporate social responsibility—for the philanthropic efforts of BKD and the BKD Foundation. The foundation was established to enrich local communities through financial donations and volunteerism. In 2019, the foundation gave approximately $1.2 million to qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations and BKD personnel completed more than 29,000 hours of volunteer service.
