BKD Hires Real Estate Valuation Market Leader in New York
NEW YORK – BKD CPAs & Advisors has added Steve Gottlieb as a managing director in the firm’s New York office.
Gottlieb specializes in commercial real estate consulting, focusing on valuation and financial reporting. He has more than 30 years of technical expertise, leadership and business development experience. Gottlieb has served a variety of client types during his career, including private equity/funds, REITs, law firms, public sector organizations and multinational companies.

Prior to joining BKD, Gottlieb provided a variety of real estate services including valuation, purchase price allocations, due diligence, lease analysis and litigation support at a large international accounting firm, where he was also responsible for leading the real estate-related audit support function. He oversaw a team of professionals around the globe and was involved in local and national strategic planning. At BKD, Gottlieb will join the Forensics & Valuation Services division, where he will lead real estate valuation and advisory services for a range of clients nationally.

Gottlieb is a graduate of Binghamton University School of Management, Binghamton, New York, with a B.S. degree in management. He is a State Certified General Appraiser. Additional professional affiliations include the MAI and AI-GRS designations of the Appraisal Institute and the FRICS designation from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Gottlieb also is an instructor, author and presenter. He has served as an instructor for several Appraisal Institute courses and seminars and has participated as both a moderator and panelist for a variety of conferences and roundtables. His writings have been featured in publications such as Risk & Insurance and the Journal of Accountancy.
