BKD Energy Practice Hires New National Consulting Leader
DALLAS – Brian Matlock, the national practice leader for BKD National Energy & Natural Resources (ENR) Practice, is pleased to announce the addition of Coleman Rowland as the practice’s national consulting leader. Rowland, who served as the North American oil and gas advisory leader for an international firm, brings 30 years of oil and gas experience.
Matlock said adding Rowland to the ENR practice was a big win for BKD CPAs & Advisors. “Bringing in Coleman will significantly expand our advisory service offerings and will improve our ability to provide our oil and gas clients with Unmatched Client Service®,” he said.
South Region Managing Partner Tom Watson echoed Matlock’s statement. “Growing our ENR practice has been one of the top focus areas of our Governing Board. We are actively investing in new talent to help solve our clients’ most complex problems and are thrilled to have Coleman join our team,” he said.
A recognized name in the ENR industry, Rowland will join BKD as a managing director in the firm’s Houston office, where he will begin building an internal audit practice that will serve all industry groups. Rowland has experience in leading successful large-scale transformation initiatives, improving financial management processes in multinational business environments and assisting clients in solving complex problems in domestic and global markets.
“I’m excited for this new opportunity, and I’m looking forward to helping expand our advisory offerings in the Energy & Natural Resources sector,” said Rowland.
Rowland is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and has served on the Greater Houston Partnership Energy Advisory Committee. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and management information systems and holds an MBA from the University of Houston.
