BKD Awarded for Redesigning Performance Management Programs
NATIONAL OFFICE – BKD CPAs & Advisors was one of four companies honored with Quantum Workplace’s annual Employee Voice Award (EVA). BKD was recognized in the Change Navigator category for making significant improvements to its performance management programs.
Quantum Workplace’s EVA recognizes organizations that excel in employee engagement and demonstrate dedication to improving the workplace by collecting, analyzing and acting on feedback. In a 2018 engagement survey, BKD personnel expressed a need for more frequent and meaningful coaching and feedback. The firm used this input to create a new award-winning performance management strategy.
As a first step, BKD replaced annual appraisals with quarterly coaching conversations. Rather than waiting an entire year for evaluations, individuals have frequent, open and honest conversations with their career coaches. The firm also created several new programs, including a 360-degree feedback program where personnel can request input from direct reports, peers and supervisors.
