As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, BKD’s priorities are to protect the safety and well-being of our people, clients and communities. This means following the recommendations of the CDC and state health officials, along with complying with local, regional and federal mandates.     With an abundance of legislation and new guidelines, our clients need their BKD Trusted Advisor™ now more than ever. Our professionals have developed a COVID-19 Resource Center to share articles, webinars and additional resources on a variety of topics to help guide our clients through this pandemic. Our advisors are proactively working with clients in this dynamic environment as they experience a variety of challenges.
     
  • Managing the Talent Experience

    We recognize that prospective talent will have questions as to how BKD’s recruiting processes will look during this time. First and foremost, our goal is to provide effective communication to those who are currently under consideration for employment. We have shifted to virtual solutions for interviews and events during this time.
     
  • Summer Internships

    During this unprecedented time, our leaders and team members have been collaborating to develop innovative solutions to provide a great experience for our interns. While we want to provide rewarding career opportunities for our people, we’ve had to remain agile during this time and place equal importance on the health and safety of our talent. The firm is currently in the process of making decisions on how to provide the best talent experience for our interns.

  • Is BKD still hiring during this time?

    The firm has realigned priorities to support our current employees as well as remain engaged with those under consideration for a position with the firm. BKD is accepting applications for open positions, and our recruiters are evaluating backgrounds and experiences for the roles.

  • I’ve applied to an open position. When can I expect to hear from a recruiter?

    Thank you for your interest in our firm! While you may experience a delay in our response, rest assured that we have your application in our system and will give it our full attention. We will reach out if we feel your qualifications fit the role for which you applied.
     
  • I’ve been offered a job. Will my start date change due to COVID-19?

    Your recruiter and/or HR contact will reach out to you with more information regarding if and how your start date will be affected. Please be on the lookout for these communications. 
     
  • I've accepted an internship for Summer 2020. Will COVID-19 impact my internship? 

    We are currently making decisions on how to provide the best talent experience for our summer interns. You will receive communication with additional details as these decisions are finalized in the near future. 
     
  • Will BKD adjust CPA exam bonuses due to the closure of Prometric?

    With Prometric testing centers closed due to COVID-19, BKD is adjusting the timeframe of bonus eligibility.  BKD is extending the availability of the CPA exam bonus between March 18 and December 31, 2020, to three months after start date and for employees hired before March 18, 2020, by three months beyond the applicable employment anniversary date.  This policy amendment is subject to further modification if Prometric’s timeline changes.
