More than 500 participants attended the 2019 National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) Fall ESOP Forum, held in September in Salt Lake City, Utah. This conference provided attendees with information on employee stock ownership plans (ESOP), equity compensation plans and ownership culture.

The event opened with a preconference session focused on essentials for a sustainable ESOP. The keynote panel consisted of CEOs discussing employee ownership best practices and sharing ideas from their respective companies. The panel included Nataline Lomedico from Giroux Glass, Inc. and Daniel Goldstein from Folience. One exciting discussion topic included ideas on thinking like an owner. In addition, more than 48 individual breakout sessions were offered with learning tracks on ESOP basics, beyond the basics, compensation and benefits, communications, culture and leadership and governance issues.

Conference highlights included one-on-one “meet with an expert” sessions and roundtable discussions. These expert sessions allowed attendees to have private conversations with an experienced professional and ask detailed questions. Roundtable discussions comprised groups of people and an experienced professional discussing specific topics in a collaborative format.
