On June 9, 2020, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) issued a news release announcing the opening of an advanced provider portal for an additional $15 billion in distributions from the Provider Relief Fund for eligible Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) providers.

In addition to being an eligible Medicaid or CHIP provider, recipients cannot have received any funding from the Provider Relief Fund General Distribution to be eligible for this distribution.

To access the funding, providers will be required to provide information within the Enhanced Provider Relief Fund Portal, including annual patient revenue, which will be used as a factor in determining the Provider Relief Fund payments received.

Please note that application for this funding must be completed by July 20, 2020.

The HHS news release announcing this Medicaid and CHIP Provider Relief Fund funding can be found on the HHS website. The Enhanced Provider Relief Fund Payment Portal can be accessed here.
