The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) includes relief for individual Americans, health care workers, small businesses and certain industries hit hard by the effects of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the incidence of COVID-19. States and localities have led the nation’s response to COVID-19, and a substantial portion of the CARES Act addresses these additional funding strains.
