Q&A with BKD Managing Partner Angela Morelock, Public Sector Advisory Services and Risk Advisory Services

Effective June 18, 2019, the federal government awarded BKD a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contract. Managing Partner Angela Morelock shares her thoughts on the exciting news coming from BKD’s Public Sector Advisory Services division. 

What is a GSA Schedule and what requirements must a business meet to receive one?

The GSA Schedule is a pre-established governmentwide contract that allows organizations to sell products and services to government customers. As a symbol of quality and good standing related to a company’s processes and commitment to fair pricing, the contract proves to government buyers a contractor is financially viable and has commissary past performance in providing the requested work. Organizations undergo a rigorous process to receive a GSA Schedule and are required to provide: 

•    Evidence of sound financial practices and standards.
•    Extensive information related to the scope, billing and staffing of representative projects.

Can you describe the significance of this achievement for BKD clients?

Obtaining a GSA contract really is just the beginning.
