Now that you’ve watched the “FASB Revenue Recognition Basics for CHCs” webinar, it’s time to consider how to apply this standard to your community health center’s (CHC) traditional patient service revenue. This webinar will walk you through the model for traditional patient service revenue, make suggestions for improvements in timely posting of contractual adjustments and cover other important topics. The goal will be to take this standard from the abstract to the concrete as we work through the biggest revenue source for most CHCs.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Build on the revenue recognition basics from the first webinar and illustrate the new standard by explaining how to apply it to traditional CHC patient service revenue
  • Explain the practical expedient in detail and how using a portfolio approach will work for CHC patient service revenue
  • Recognize how CHCs can use their current practice management systems to obtain the information necessary to apply this standard to financial records
