Oxford

Led by Managing Partner Peder Johnson, BKD Oxford was established in 2008 when BKD acquired Smith, Turner & Reeves, P.A.  BKD Oxford consists of 10 personnel, including one partner, Vickie Cook, who offers focused experience providing custom solutions for individuals, governments and not-for-profits, financial institutions, manufacturers, contractors, real estate companies and health care providers.

Oxford is home to The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and hosts an array of athletic events, as well as enriching performing arts programs, scholarly presentations, museums and exhibits.  The area also offers parks and recreation centers with swimming, hiking, fishing, golf and other sports opportunities.  In addition, author William Faulkner adopted Oxford as his hometown and used the city as a model for his fictional writings.

The town square, called "The Square,” is known for an abundance of locally owned restaurants and specialty boutiques.  It also is home to the historic Lafayette County courthouse, Oxford City Hall and professional offices.  The BKD Oxford office is located just off “The Square.”
