Jackson is a city with many notable sites and attractions, including the Mynelle Gardens, a seven-acre college of several distinct botanical gardens, the Mississippi Museum of Art, Jackson Zoo and Thalia Mara Hall, a 2,362-seat theater in the downtown arts and cultural district.  The city also is home to the USA International Ballet Competition held every four years.
