Community Harvest Food Bank

In the wake of major factory shut-downs, Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, Inc. was founded in 1983 to provide free, immediate food assistance to those in need in northeast Indiana. Since then, Community Harvest’s mission has been to alleviate hunger through the full use of donated food and other resources, and to increase public awareness of and involvement in solutions to hunger.
The BKD Fort Wayne employees have demonstrated their passion for helping others by being actively involved in the Community Harvest fundraisers for the last several years. They have been so successful that during the 2005 Thanksgiving and Christmas Community Harvest Food Bank “Great Turkey Round-Up,” BKD Fort Wayne was recognized as one of their major contributors.
Our employees’ enthusiasm and generosity allowed us to donate 314 turkeys to feed hungry families in northeast Indiana and to help them have a happy holiday season.
