Community Health Needs Assessments
BKD provides community health needs assessments for hospitals and health systems through a multistep process designed to comply with Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(r) rules and regulations.
Achieving 501(r) Compliance
Our community health needs assessment (CHNA) process is designed to document the following:
- The community served by the hospital facility
- The process and methods used to conduct the assessment
- How the hospital took into account input from persons who represent the broad interests of the community served
- Prioritized community health needs identified through the CHNA
- Existing community health care facilities and other resources available to meet the community health needs identified through the CHNA
