Home Care & Hospice

BKD has one of the country’s leading home care consulting practices. We work with hundreds of home care agencies, including both freestanding and provider-based groups. Our home care consulting center of excellence is based in our Springfield, Missouri office, where services include financial and reimbursement consulting, billing outsourcing and training services, clinical and billing compliance assessments and operational reviews. 

Our home care professionals are up to date on regulatory and legislative changes in the industry, averaging more than 60 hours of formal training annually. Members of our home care team attend the National Association for Home Care (NAHC) Annual Conference and NAHC Financial Management Conference, as well as conferences for other regional and state associations.

In addition, we regularly publish home care articles through our BKD Thoughtware®, offering clients information about time-sensitive home care issues. Our home care articles have also been published in other health care periodicals, and BKD’s home care consultants are routinely quoted in home care industry periodicals. 

Our professionals frequently make presentations at state and national organization events, and the firm often conducts seminars and webinars on important reimbursement, regulatory and operational matters. Members of BKD’s home care team have made presentations on the various home care topics at major national and regional meetings, such as the NAHC Annual Conference, NAHC Financial Management Conference and numerous regional and state home care meetings.
