Accounting students looking to start their career on the right foot can find opportunities at BKD.
The process of becoming part of the BKD team usually includes a formal interview on campus with a BKD recruiter. But you may choose to bypass this step and contact us directly. The best place to start is our online job listings.
Take advantage of BKD’s involvement in your campus Accounting Club or Beta Alpha Psi chapter during the school year and sign up to attend a BKD recruiting event, such as a picnic, pizza party or sports event, if one is offered at your school.
Then, thoroughly review the information on our website. It will answer many of your questions about BKD.
College sophomores, juniors and seniors have two options for interviewing with BKD. Contact us directly through our online job listings site to schedule an interview or sign up through your placement office to interview with a BKD recruiter when we visit your campus in the fall.
Whether we interview you in the office or on campus, this first interview is our opportunity to learn about you: why you are interested in a public accounting career, which courses you have most enjoyed, your grades and achievements, other college activities and interests, your work experience, your long-term career goals, your interest in an internship, etc. In addition, we’ll answer your questions about BKD.
If you are interviewing for the first time on campus, you may receive an invitation to visit the local BKD office for additional interviews. If you schedule directly, your first interview also may include Step 3.
The primary purpose of the office visit is, frankly, to sell you on BKD. During your visit to a BKD office, you will have an opportunity to meet with client service personnel and find out more about that office’s specific practice. You will tour the office and enjoy lunch or dinner with some of our staff accountants.
Shortly after your office visit, you will receive a letter extending an employment offer or indicating we are unable to offer you a position at this time.
