Start Your Career as an Intern
You may want to begin your BKD career as an intern. Our program allows qualifying students to spend a semester helping with the kinds of general audit and tax assignments that a first-year staff person is assigned to. After successfully completing the internship, you may receive an offer to return as a staff accountant upon completion of your degree. For details, see our Internships page.
A Team Approach to Client Service
At BKD, we have developed teams of accountants and advisors with specialized service and industry knowledge to deliver a full complement of services to meet client needs. The teams you are assigned to will help you develop the skills and acquire the experience to become a “BKD solution” yourself.

About BKD Cincinnati

Ted Dickman, the partner in charge, directs operations and administration of approximately 40 personnel, including five partners. Chris Linck is the Cincinnati recruiter.

Our office was founded more than 30 years ago and merged into BKD in 2001.

Our Niches & Services

Our niches include manufacturing/distribution, insurance, construction/real estate, not-for-profit/government, financial services, health care, restaurants and retail.

Assurance, at 50% of our practice, is our largest service component, with 32% for tax, 14% for consulting and 4% for accounting outsourcing. Cincinnati’s value-added services include business valuations, DataProbe, forensics and dispute consulting and small business services.

Using RIA’s GoSystem RS, we annually process in-house approximately 1,000 tax returns of all types.

The audit department annually processes more than 120 full-disclosure financial statements, including nearly 100 audit reports.

In addition to traditional compliance services, we assist clients with such value-added consulting services as financial planning, debt restructuring, feasibility studies, business valuations, projections and forecasts, business succession planning, accounting outsourcing, technology consulting and health care consulting.

Your Ties to the Community

We encourage our staff to become actively involved in community organizations and events and to participate in our BKD Foundation outreach where appropriate. It’s our way of supporting the community while expanding our network of business contacts.

Through the BKD Matching Gift Program, we support accounting education at the major colleges and universities from which we recruit.
