About BKD Central Indiana

Our Central Indiana practice unit has approximately 230 personnel, including 28 partners.

Ted Dickman, the partner in charge, directs the practice’s operations and administration.

Recruiters are Mary Horn, Bloomington; Dave Leising, Indianapolis; and Paul Bailey, Merrillville. The major colleges and universities from which we recruit include Ball State University, Butler University, Indiana State University, Indiana University at Bloomington and Indianapolis, Manchester College, Purdue University and Valparaiso University.

Indianapolis, our largest office, has served clients since 1917.

Our Niches & Services

With approximately 230 employees, the Central Indiana practice unit is one of BKD’s largest, with an extensive team of industry, technology and management consultants.

Many of our consultants are nationally recognized for their work, including our cost segregation consultants. Our BKD Technologies consultants help organizations gain a competitive business advantage with information technology solutions. As an authorized reseller of leading business and financial applications software, both industry-specific and general business, we support companies with software selection, implementation and training assistance. Our tax practice includes specialized tax services such as real estate cost segregation, research and experimentation tax credits, international tax and federal and state tax reduction strategies.

Using RIA’s GoSystem RS, we annually process in-house approximately 4,500 tax returns of all types.

Our audit department annually processes more than 900 full-disclosure financial statements, including approximately 600 audit reports.

Your Ties to the Community

We encourage our staff to become actively involved in community organizations and events and to participate in our BKD Foundation outreach where appropriate. It’s our way of supporting the community while expanding our network of business contacts.

Through the BKD Matching Gift Program, we support accounting education at the major colleges and universities from which we recruit.
