Challenging Work

Chris says he enjoys understanding a client’s needs and assisting them with a solution. “There are times their needs can be very technical in nature, such as understanding how a new tax law will affect the use of their business aircraft, and there are times their needs are driven by soft factors such as family.”

Rewarding Opportunities

BKD’s opportunities matched up with what Chris desired from public accounting. He wanted to be part of a team that helped clients understand and, when possible, get the most from the tax law. “I chose BKD because of the opportunity to advance and the opportunity to work on more difficult material earlier in my career.”

And a Life

Chris and Heidi spend lots of time with friends and family. To make time in his busy life, Chris schedules family events on his work calendar. This will become more critical as Heidi and Chris are expecting their first child this spring. “By scheduling this time, it is a constant reminder for me to keep balance in my life so I have the time I want to be with my wife, family and friends.”
