Consider This
“For those accounting majors still in school, do an accounting internship. There is so much to learn that you will not get from a text book. The best way to learn is on the job. For those entering public accounting, realize the learning never stops. Every job gives you another opportunity to learn something new and meet great people.”

Meet Our People
Challenging WorkChaiVay previously worked as a bank analyst and commercial loan officer, but desired a greater challenge, which she found with the Financial Services Group at BKD. “I get to meet a lot of different people, learn new things, and keep very busy, which makes the day go by faster and leaves me with a sense of accomplishment.” Rewarding OpportunitiesShe enjoys working in the Decatur office, where the employees know each other well and often get together for activities outside of the office. She volunteered for three years with the Springfield United Way’s program review committee and now hopes to find similar opportunities in the Decatur area. And a LifeChaiVay is close with her family members. Even though separated by distance, the Chaus get together at least once a month to have a family dinner and catch up. She also has great friends, which get together every couple of months for lots of fun. Each year they plan one trip together, which has included England, France and Mexico. |
