Date: May 10, 2017
NATIONAL OFFICE – Ted Dickman, CEO of BKD, LLP, is proud to announce the firm has been named a Bronze LearningElite organization for 2017 by Chief Learning Officer (CLO) magazine.
BKD, which also received this award in 2014 and 2016, ranked among the 60 finalists singled out for creating and implementing exemplary workforce development practices. CLO announced the 2017 winners April 23 at its annual gala in Bonita Springs, Florida.
“We’re honored that CLO has acknowledged our commitment to lifelong learning,” Dickman said. “At BKD, people are our No. 1 asset. To continually deliver unmatched client service, we must invest in both the technical and nontechnical expertise of our employees and develop them as leaders.”
Operated by Human Capital Media, CLO is the only peer-reviewed ranking and benchmarking program developed in collaboration with chief learning officers and senior workforce development practitioners. Its LearningElite award recognizes organizations that employ exemplary workforce development strategies to deliver significant business results that benefit them, their industry and the learning and development field.
“Being an industry-leading learning organization is something we take seriously,” said Greg Cole, the firm’s director of growth and development. “We strive to tie our mission statement and culture of unmatched client service to everything we do, including our professional development programs. That effort and teamwork are what set us apart and why we’re listed among these other distinguished companies as leaders in learning and development.”
BKD’s educational infrastructure centers on BKD University (BKDU). BKDU is an online, on-demand platform housed on the firm’s intranet. It gives personnel access to a wide range of technical and nontechnical training content through its Leadership Academy, Sales Training Institute and Coaching Program. It also hosts short video clips on leadership, ethics, client service and technology.
