BKD PCAOB Inspection Report
BKD, LLP underwent an inspection of our public company audit practice by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board in August 2014. As with most firms that have a significant number of issuer clients, the inspection report dated December 15, 2016 stated the inspection team identified deficiencies in some individual engagements inspected.
The application of auditing standards requires significant judgment, and in specific circumstances we may have differing views on the appropriate application of accounting principles and auditing standards. We have carefully evaluated the matters described in the inspection report and believe we have taken actions to address each matter in accordance with PCAOB standards.
BKD remains committed to the highest standards of audit quality and fully supports the PCAOB’s inspection process in improving audit quality to better meet the needs of investors and serve the public interest.
We invite you to view the full report and our response, which can be found on the PCAOB website under the “Inspections” tab or at bkd.com. We also invite you to view our unmodified peer review report on our non-SEC accounting and auditing practice at the AICPA website under the “For the Public” tab.
