BKD Foundation

BKD is connected to the community. Our personnel serve on boards and committees for the charitable organizations we support, so we see firsthand the needs in the surrounding communities, and we offer our help as neighbors and friends. That’s what we mean when we say experience community.

The BKD Foundation, which is the firm’s charitable arm, has raised and distributed $4.2 million in the past nine years to qualifying 501 (c)(3) organizations. For many not-for-profit organizations, both money and volunteer assistance is critical. That’s why we have donated food to pantries, become lunch buddies to school children, taught business classes to students and adopted families for Christmas. BKDers have walked, jogged and run to raise money for the prevention of heart disease, to help find a cure for cancer and to assist adults and kids with special needs with educational and vocational programs. These are just a few examples of how our neighbors experience care.

In addition to BKD Foundation activities, you’ll find our personnel represented on civic and charitable boards; involved in churches, synagogues and other religious organizations; and sponsors of a wide variety of community-based special events.
